The Goliath Bird Eating Spider's central nervous system is made up of two relatively simple ganglia connected to nerves leading to the spider's various muscles and sensory systems. The thorax is filled with sensory cells. The abdomen has no ganglia at all. These two ganglia control all of the function of the spider, from locomotion to processing images captured by the eyes. It is the largest spider in the world.
