The Giant Clam has no brain. Instead, nerve sensory organs connect the major organs of the clam. These organs are lined with threads of nerve cells that are inside the stomach, kidney, reproductive organs, and the other organs of the clam. The nervous system is run by three ganglia. These ganglia send nerve cells to the organs of the clam. It is the largest Bivalve in the world.
